This dress is dyed and dipped in hibiscus and has a layer of hibiscus fabric on the lace. The dress is meant to decompose over time. It has been on display at Modern West in Salt Lake City and Southern Utah Museum of Art in Cedar City, Utah. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the work did not decompose in the space. Like many of the dresses that i made in 2019 and 2020, this one is made from hibiscus. Flowers have many symbols and meanings. In North America, the hibiscus can be seen as representing the perfect wife, or perfect woman.
